BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS
1) THEY MUST BE VENTED (IF THEY ALSO VENT THE CONDENSATION, THEY MAY ALSO VENT TOO MUCH ROOM AIR AND THUS DEFEAT THEIR PURPOSE.)
2) THEY WORK GREAT FOR SOME SITUATIONS AND NOT SO GREAT FOR OTHERS. I WISH WE KNEW THE SECRET FORMULA BUT WE DO NOT. .
3) WHEN VENTING THRU A WINDOW, MAKE SURE YOU ALSO SEAL OFF THE GAP BETWEEN THE TWO WINDOW SECTIONS OR HOT MOIST OUTSIDE AIR WILL LEAK IN BETWEEN THE WINDOW SECTIONS AND INTO THE ROOM YOU ARE TRYING TO COOL. PIPE WRAP INSULATION, WHICH IS AVAILABLE AT MOST HARDWARE STORES WILL WORK WELL IN THIS APPLICATION. CUT THE PIPE WRAP TO SIZE AND GENTLY STUFF IT INTO THE GAP BETWEEN THE TOP AND BOTTOM WINDOW.
4) Air Conditioning is not just "cooling" it is also dehumidification and it is a slow process. It may take many hours or even days to dry out your area. Once the air is "conditioned", then it will be simpler to maintain. In extreme weather conditions, a new air conditioner may run constantly simply to prevent conditions from getting worse.

Most items, including the Portable Air Conditioners are available at our Connecticut warehouse. You can save on shipping costs by arranging to fetch them yourself.

Some of the appliances we sell are quite heavy, The portable air conditioners average weight is 90 pounds. Please make sure you have the man-power available to carry these items into your house, the delivery man will not.

RETURN POLICY as follows:

Our return policy has been designed for optimum FAIRNESS to both you the consumer and ourselves as merchants.
1)If you change your mind: The full purchase price is granted for all merchandise returned UNOPENED in their original package within 7 days of purchase. Unfortunately we cannot refund shipping and handling fees and associated credit card fees, and these will be deducted from the refund.
2)If you are displeased: with the performance of any product which is not defective, you may return it within 7 days for a full refund minus shipping costs & credit card fees. You are responsible for shipping the product to us and we also recommend carrier insurance. Please email us first before returning an item. Additional Restocking and Repackaging fees will not be applied if product and original packaging are returned in "as new condition". Fees will be applied accordingly if repairs to product or packaging are required. NO EXCEPTIONS. Before returning a product we recommend that you contact the manufacturer first to determine if you are using the product correctly or if the product is defective.
3)If the product is defective: It is the responsibility of the MANUFACTURER to REPAIR or REPLACE the item to your satisfaction. You must contact the manufacturer and follow their procedures and recommendations. Please contact us if you need assistance. We cannot issue a refund for a defective product but will gladly replace it with permission from the manufacturer.
NOTE: Please be SURE it is the item you want before you place the order. (It is the consumer's responsibilty to know the size and type of air conditioner needed for the area to be cooled.) If you decide to return an item for any reason you must first email us for return authorization.
DELIVERY
Items can only be delivered to an actual address, they cannot be sent to a Post office Box.
Air conditioners and other large appliances are heavy and difficult to handle. Please have someone on hand to receive them and carry them into your building; the carrier is only responsible for delivery to your curb.
RECEIPT OF GOODS
Immediately check package for signs of DAMAGE before your accept receipt. This will assist if a claim is to be filed.
Damaged merchandised will be replaced as soon as possible.
Please report damage within 48 hours. Have the delivery man note damage on the shipping ticket upon receipt. Failure to record and/or report damages may cause you to forfeit any rights. Unfortunately cash refunds are NOT available for damaged items. The shipping companies will not honor a damage claim unless they RETURN and REPLACE the item, so all we can offer is a REPLACEMENT.
Should you decide not to replace a damaged or defective item, you will be charged a 20 percent handling fee and a Credit Voucher will be issued for the balance.
We cannot be held responsible if the air conditioner does not cool the desired area. It is your responsibility as a consumer to know what size and type of unit to purchase. Placing an order with GetCozy.com is to accept these terms and conditions.
All products sold by GetCozy.com carry a manufacturer's warrantee, it is the duty of each manufacturer to honor said warrantee, and not the duty of the retailer.
