Exterior Door Tax Credit Information |
| |
- 30% tax credit up to $1500 maximum
- Exterior Door must have a U factor less than or equal to 0.30 or a Solar Heating Gain Coefficient less than or equal to 0.30
- Installation NOT included
- Must be installed in your primary residency
- Does not include new construction
- Must be installed and ready to use between the dates of January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010
- You will need to save your receipt for the cost of the door itself
- You will need a copy of the Manufacturer rating
- You will need to file a newer version of IRS Form 5695 with the IRS at tax time

| The U factor is the reciprocal of the R value. A U factor of .32 is NOT less than a U factor of .30 and would not qualify. |
