Natural Gas or Propane Fired Hot Water Heater Tax Credit Information |
| |
- 30% tax credit up to $1500 maximum
- Gas Hot Water Heater must have an Energy Factor greater than or equal to 0.82 or a Thermal Efficiency of at least 90%
- Costs include labor
- Must be installed in your primary residency
- Does not include new construction
- Must be installed and ready to use between the dates of January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010
- You will need to file a newer version of IRS Form 5695 with the IRS at tax time
- You will need a receipt for the work done
- You will need a Manufacturer Certification Statement confirming the efficiency rating
